🚔 Riverside Beat Team Weekly Update 🚔 This week, the Riverside Beat Team has continued proactive work across the area to keep our community safe and supported. 🎶 Forbidden Forest Festival PC Merryn and Callum assisted at the festival, providing a visible policing presence. Large scale events can bring increased risks of crime and anti social behaviour, and officers work closely with organisers and partners to ensure the event was safe and ran smoothly for all attendees. 👉 E-bike & E-scooter Enforcement Working alongside the City Centre Team, officers seized 24 illegal e-bikes and e-scooters, targeting unsafe and unlawful use. Checks focused on motor power, speed limits, and illegal modifications. We also worked with Immigration Enforcement to carry out Right to Work checks and ensure compliance with legislation. 🤝 Community Engagement 🏫 Leicester College Sponsored Walk – Nelson Mandela Park Jas & Phil supported Leicester College inclusive learning students at Nelson Mandela Park during their sponsored walk. This was a great opportunity to engage with young people, support their activities, and promote positive interactions with police in a relaxed environment 🏥 Eid Al Adha Celebration – Leicester Royal Infirmary Officers attended the Eid Al Adha celebration at Leicester Royal Infirmary, working alongside the Chaplaincy Team and NHS staff. This helped strengthen partnerships, recognise cultural diversity, and show support for our local healthcare community 🏙️ Reassurance & Local Presence V attended Leicester Tigers Stadium during a busy match day, offering reassurance, providing crime prevention advice, and supporting members of the public V engaged at De Montfort House following reports of anti-social behaviour, speaking with residents and staff, offering reassurance, and providing crime prevention advice 👮♂️ Enforcement Activity • Male arrested on warrant for offences against Leicester Royal Infirmary staff • Vehicle seized under Section 165 • Officers continue to support a sexual assault investigation • Plain clothes patrols carried out across the beat, targeting crime and identifying offenders #RiversideBeat #inyourcommunity #yousaidwedid
